Performance Men's Rugby Union

The University of Nottingham Rugby Union Club is one of largest student led rugby clubs in the country, and one of the most prestigious and popular sports clubs at Nottingham.

Growing on our proud achievements of previous seasons, including our 1st XV's most recent BUCS Vase and Varsity Champions success in 2012/13, the University of Nottingham Rugby Union Club enters the new season with some incredibly ambitious and exciting plans set to unfold, both on and off the pitch, in order to continue the successes of previous seasons.

The 1st XV side currently compete in the BUCS Premiership A (North) League against some of the best University sides in the country, including Durham, Loughborough and Leeds Metropolitan, whilst our three other teams compete against the most competitive regional University sides across four separate leagues.

Jake Charters

Studying: Social Policy & Criminology

Background: Jake Charters was a Leicester Tigers Academy player for U16, U17 and U18.

Being a UoN Sport Scholar made me feel like I was in a strong community. Being amongst a group of elite athletes regardless of the sport is very useful in learning new skills and psychologically helpful in being around people with the same high goals.
