Performance Squash at the University of Nottingham

University of Nottingham Sport are delighted to bring the European U15-17 Team Championships to England for the first time. Featuring Europe's top young players, the event is the official team championships for European players in this age group and is organised in partnership with the European Squash Federation and England Squash. 

The Championships will be hosted across two venues, the David Ross Sports Village and Nottingham Squash Rackets Club and will take place from Thursday 7 May - Sunday 10 May 2020.

Venues

David Ross Sports Village

David Ross Sports Village

Located in the heart of University of Nottingham's University Park campus, the £40 million David Ross Sports Village offers world-class squash facilities. There are 6 glass-backed squash courts and our all-glass show court, one of only four in England, can seat over 250 spectators. The venue also houses the Clubhouse Café, Sports Injury Clinic and Health & Wellbeing Suite.

Nottingham Squash and Rackets Club

Nottingham Squash & Rackets Club

Just a short walk away from the city centre, Nottingham Squash and Rackets Club offers extensive playing facilities with 10 squash courts on site.The venue regularly hosts national tournaments for England Squash as well as the Premier League squash events alongside the University of Nottingham. The venue includes changing with sauna and steam facilities as well as a café / bar area.

Entries

The entry deadline for the event is 31 January 2020.

Accommodation

Accommodation can only be booked through University of Nottingham Sport (tournament host). Official tournament hotels are :

The hotel / food package includes 4 nights accommodation in a twin room, hotel breakfast and lunch and dinner at the playing venue. The cost is £285 per person. 

An extra night (bed and breakfast, per person, twin room) may be booked at an additional cost of £60 per night. 

Single room supplement - £50 per person per night.

Please note, the hotel / food package must be booked with your tournament entry and hotel forms must be submitted by 5pm (GMT) on 8 March 2020 to Christine Bailey at christine.bailey@nottingham.ac.uk.

Transport

University of Nottingham Sport will provide transport between Nottingham train station and East Midlands airport on arrival and departure day.

A shuttle service will also be provided between the tournament hotels and club (from 7 - 10 May) for those who have booked the hotel / food package.

Warm up courts

An allocation of complimentary warm-up courts will be made available for players taking part in the competition from Wednesday 6 May. To check availability and book courts for additional practice, please contact Glynn Dignum.
