Strategy Development at the University

Staff within SPP have been involved in advising and supporting the University in its strategic development for many years. Our strategy development work covers all the University’s activities at all of its campuses.

University Strategic Plan 2010-15

The University of Nottingham Strategic Plan 2010-15 provides an institution-level statement of identity and intent through its mission, guiding principles and vision. Beyond these essentials, it sets out aims and objectives against each strategic priority (Excellence in Education, World Changing Research etc.)

Academic and Financial Strategy Framework (AFSF)

To support the delivery of those objectives, the Academic and Financial Strategy Framework (AFSF) was created. It links the University’s strategy with its approach to financial planning and investment, performance monitoring and management, and incentive and reward. As a result, all 22 Schools and the Faculty of Engineering now have medium-term strategies with implementation plans and agreed KPI targets, and all Professional Service units have agreed medium-term strategies.

Further information on all aspects of the AFSF can be found at the Strategy Support Centre
