Activities for International Welcome 2022

In addition to your locally organised school inductions, you’ll be able to take part in free activities detailed below.

 Monday 31 January

  • Discover Nottingham Fair, where you can meet some of Nottingham’s most student friendly businesses located on C Floor, Portland Building.
  • In the evening visit one of the Globe Cafés

Tuesday 1 February 

  • Meet Registry and Academic Affairs, they are running a drop in on C Floor, Portland Building for support with academic related questions and IT support.
  • Friends International are running a drop in on C Floor, Portland Building between 12:30-2:30pm to promote ongoing activities they run for International Students.
  • Join one of the lunch time online ‘chat with friends’ sessions to make new friends.
  • Meet the Student’s Union, drop in between 9:00am – 4:00pm and find out about societies, sports, volunteering and networks. We will be in the ‘Get Involved Zone’ C Floor, Portland Building
  • In the evening visit one of the Globe Cafés
  • Chinese New Year celebrations on Jubilee Campus in the Atrium 5.30-7.30pm

Wednesday 2 February

  • Meet Registry and Academic Affairs, they are running a drop in on C Floor, Portland Building for support with academic related questions and IT support.
  • Friends International are running a drop in on C Floor, Portland Building between 12:30-2:30pm to promote ongoing activities they run for International Students.

Additional activities run by the Student’s Union can be found on their website.

Students living in halls both on and off campus will be contacted through the Residential Experience Team about activities taking place at each hall, helping you get to know other students living nearby. If you have not heard about activites yet then please email the team.

Healthcare registration

For students on University Park and Jubilee Campus the nearest practice is Cripps Medical Centre on University Park for students at Sutton Bonington it is Kegworth and Gotham Surgery.

If you are registering at Cripps Medical Centre, once you know your UK address please complete the online health registration form before attending in person health registration. 

The Healthcare team will only contact you if there is an issue with your registration.  

Please contact them first to make an appointment on 0115 8468888.

If you are self-isolating, please let them know when requesting your appointment.

Residential Experience Team

The Residential Experience Team (ResX Team) are on hand to support you and will be running events throughout welcome. Find out about their events here.
