Attendance Confirmation (In-Person Registration)


As a new full-time student you are required to confirm your attendance in person as part of the registration process. 

You are a Standard starter if your course starts between 23 September and 1 October 2019.
You are a Non standard starter if your course starts at any other time of the year.

Standard Starters

Where to register in-person

In Person Registration will take place at the David Ross Sports Village on the 23th and 24th September 2019. After this time you will need to complete registration at one of our Student Service Centres.

Non standard starters

Where to register in-person

In person registration can be completed at any of our Student Service Centres when you arrive to begin your course.

In-person registration events 

For some courses we hold small In Person Registration events. Please check the Attendance Confirmation Events 2019 document to see if your course is listed.

If your course does not appear on the list please visit your local Student Service Centre where you will be able to complete your attendance confirmation.


What to bring to in-person registration

All students

  • Student ID number if known. This can be found on your offer letter. (note: this is not your applicant ID number)
  • Evidence of meeting entry conditions (if applicable)
  • Sponsor letter/evidence of funding (if applicable and not already sent in)

All Home/Europen Union Students

  • Passport /National Identity Card/Birth Certificate. Driving Licences are NOT accepted.

All International Students

  • Passport and Visa/Biometric Residence Permit

If you will study with a Tier 4 student visa, please ensure that you collect your Biometrics Residence Permit (BRP) card prior to registering in person. If you are collecting your BRP card from the University this can be done as part of the international Welcome Programme or as part of the registration event. You must collect your BRP card within 10 days of arriving in the UK. You will not be able to complete in person registration until you have collected your BRP card.

Admissions Conditions

If there are conditions attached to your offer of a place at the University, you must provide evidence of these being met before your registration can be confirmed. At the Central Registration Event Admissions staff will be available to take evidence of conditions of entry.
