Attendance confirmation

As a new full-time student, you need to register online, meet any other offer conditions and have your attendance confirmed at the start of your course.

You must complete registration within three weeks of your course start date. The process for confirming your attendance depends on your course start date and whether you are a Home/UK, EU or international student.

If your course start date:

Home/UK and EU students

After you have completed online registration, your attendance will be confirmed the first time you log on to Eduroam Wi-Fi on University Park Campus using your University of Nottingham username and password.

You are not required to do anything further but must log in on campus with your personal details, otherwise your attendance will not be confirmed.

Registration deadlines

For courses starting on:

  • 21 September 2020, the deadline is Monday 12 October 2020
  • 1 October 2020, the deadline is Thursday 22 October 2020

If you have any further queries regarding your registration, please contact us at Student Services.

International students (non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationality)

After you have completed online registration, you must confirm that you are in attendance at the University.

If you are studying using a Tier 4 visa and your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) is being delivered to the University, you can book an appointment to collect this and confirm your attendance at the same time.

If you do not require a Tier 4 visa or have already collected your BRP, you still need to book an appointment to confirm your attendance and get your passport and visa documents scanned.

Virtual registration – what to bring with you

In some circumstances we may request that you confirm your attendance virtually via video conference call.

If we request this please make sure you bring the following to your video conference:

  • Your Nottingham ID number
  • Your passport (essential if you are from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland) or National Identity Card or Birth Certificate (only if you are from the UK/EU/EEA/Switzerland); driving licences are not accepted
  • If you are an international student, you will also need to present on screen and submit scanned copies of your immigration permission (visa and Biometric Residence Permit), where applicable – these will be submitted as part of your personal video conference so please have electronic scans ready to send

If you have questions or feel that you do not have one of the above documents, you should still attend your video conference and staff will advise you how to proceed.
