As an international student we understand you have even more to think about as you prepare to start with us at Nottingham.

This section is dedicated to you. We cover all the extra bits you need to know as an international new starter, from applying for your visa to deciding what to pack, and how to plan for your journey.

Once you get here, you will also need to think about banking and accessing our health services. Please take some time to look through these guides before you arrive on campus.

You'll also need to work through the ‘before you arrive’ and ‘when you arrive’ checklists for international students, so you don't miss anything important.

Preparing to travel

Plan your travel arrangements carefully for a smooth journey, including your visa, packing and transport connections. Ensure you also have accommodation ready for when you arrive.

Get ready for student life

There are some important things to complete when you arrive, such as opening a bank account and registering with a doctors' surgery. It's also a good idea to read up on what to expect when you will live and study in the UK.
