Computers and printing facilities

Computer rooms are available in or near to many of the libraries. From these PCs it is possible to access email, word processing software, the Internet, library services and other software packages (UK, China, Malaysia), and printing facilities.

Some computer rooms are accessible 24 hours a day and you may need your University Card to gain entry to these rooms outside of normal opening hours.

Most libraries also have wireless access [UK, China, Malaysia].

Laptop and iPad loans

Students and staff can borrow laptops (running Windows 7 and Office 2010) and tablets for three hour periods for use in the library only.

Printing, photocopying and scanning

Print/copy/scan facilities are available across all campuses.
At the start of the academic year all students are provided with a copy/print credit allocation. Once you have used all of this you can purchase more at library Lending/Circulation Desks and, where available, at payment kiosks or IT Service Points. Students in the UK only, can also pay via the University's online payment gateway.

All libraries provide access to self service print/copy/scan facilities. You will need your University Card to operate these machines and the cost of copying will be deducted from your copy/print account. To keep your copy/print and library account secure:
