Brexit information for UK students

UK students

The University provides many opportunities for UK students to spend time in Europe and further afield during their time with us.

Study abroad

The University will remain part of the Erasmus+ scheme and students undertaking an exchange or work placement under the Erasmus+ scheme in 2017/18 will see no effect on their studies and their access to the Erasmus programme. Incoming and outgoing students should continue with their exchanges as planned.

Fees for the Year Abroad

The University of Nottingham will continue to charge a substantially reduced fee for the Year Abroad for all home students starting their courses in 2017 and 2018, regardless of whether or not the University is eligible to receive Erasmus funding following the UK's exit from the EU. The same reduced fee is also paid by other home students going abroad as part of their degree outside Europe, including our students of American & Canadian Studies students going to North America.
