European Union Undergraduate Excellence Award
Unlock your potential with a £1,000 tuition fee scholarship.
Our European Union Undergraduate Excellence Award is a scholarship for high-achieving EU students.
For students beginning courses in 2020 we will award five scholarships of £1,000 towards tuition fees in the first year of your degree course at the University of Nottingham.
The application closing date for this scholarship is Friday 13 March 2020 at midnight (UK time).
To apply for this scholarship, you must:
- be a national of or permanently domiciled in any country of the European Union
- be classed as an EU student for tuition fee purposes
- hold an offer to begin a full-time undergraduate degree programme at the University of Nottingham in September 2020, in any subject area
How to apply
Candidates must apply for an undergraduate degree course at Nottingham and receive an offer of study before applying for this scholarship. Search for courses and find out how to apply through UCAS.
Once you have received your offer, you can apply for this scholarship through the scholarships section of MyNottingham. Applications will close at midnight (UK time) on Friday 13 March 2020.
You will be asked a series of questions about your achievements, study plans and reasons for choosing Nottingham. Allow yourself time to prepare strong answers, as the scholarships will be offered to applicants based on academic merit and the strength of your application statements.
Scholarships will only be awarded to students who firmly accept our degree course within UCAS. You do not need to respond to your UCAS offers before applying for this scholarship, but if you are offered a scholarship and you do not select Nottingham as your firm choice, your scholarship offer will be released and offered to another student.
This award cannot be combined with another University of Nottingham regional scholarship. However, you may also be able to receive a subject scholarship from your academic school, a sports scholarship package, or an external scholarship from your country, where the combined total does not exceed 100% of tuition fees.
