Represent your hall virtually with Student Switch Off
You can become a virtual volunteer champion for the Student Switch Off sustainability campaign to represent your hall, help raise awareness, and drive change across campus.
Student Switch Off provides advice to help you live a more sustainable life whilst at university, with regular competitions to give you some added motivation throughout the year. As well as taking personal action to reduce your carbon footprint, you will also be helping your hall be crowned the overall Student Switch Off champions! Visit www.studentswitchoff.org/unis/nottingham for more information and advice.
All training and activities will be done online or in your social bubble, and you can use the role as part of your Nottingham Advantage Award. You’ll be able to contribute towards tangible carbon reductions in your hall and see the results. Register for the training session on 4 November (via zoom) here: ssotrainingnotts.eventbrite.co.uk
This is a great opportunity to get more involved in your hall community, even if you or others are isolating. Everyone can get involved and there will be lots of opportunity for online collaboration and project planning with others through virtual platforms.
You also have until 1 November to enter the Student Switch Off welcome competition for a chance to win £50! Enter here: bit.ly/3lH1VZr
