Guest column

Hi everybody! I’m Tina, the new Graduate Environmental Assistant in the Sustainability Team.

A proud UoN Geography graduate, class of 2023, I'm thrilled to embark on this exciting journey! In my final year, my passions revolved around waste management, urban development and sustainable transport planning. Now, I have the incredible opportunity to translate these interests practically.

Part of my role will be delivering campus waste initiatives. My prior experience with the Community Engagement Team during their impactful end-of-term waste campaigns, in partnership with the British Heart Foundation (BHF), has given me valuable insights into waste reduction and recycling.

Looking forward to the remarkable journey ahead!

Tina Darlami
In 2022, 2,251 bags were collected for BHF. This is testament to the power of collective sustainability actions.
