Exams are organized by Schools with the support of the Exams office who will arrange rooms for both paper based and online exams.
Online exams are created and delivered using the University's online assessment tool, Rogō. The Exams Office can organise the logistical delivery of summative online exams during term-time. This includes the allocation of trained invigilators, the provision of IT support, room bookings, and the provision of first-line support by the Exams Office. Schools who are considering this must inform the Exams Office of these arrangements at the beginning of the academic year to ensure that all arrangements can be put in place.
Some schools are piloting the use of students' own laptops in otherwise regular exams. This "bring your own device" investigation is supported by IS, LRLR and The Teaching & Learning Directorate. It is being co-ordinated by Sarah Seeley in the Exams office.
