If you have an unconditional offer and we need to see official confirmation of your results we will request this by email before the academic year begins. Present this original evidence in the way specified in the email, or when you arrive at registration.
Please note that you will not be able to fully register with the University until we have seen official confirmation of your results. Any delay in completing your registration may lead to delays elsewhere; for example, payment of student loans into your bank account and access to IT facilities. Delays in registration can also have visa implications.
We receive a number of results directly from the examining boards via UCAS, and in this instance you do not need to send in confirmation of your results separately. This applies to the following qualifications:
- A levels and AS levels
- Scottish Advanced Highers
- Welsh Baccalaureate
- BTEC National Diploma
- International Baccalaureate
For all qualifications not listed above, it is your responsibility to forward official confirmation of all results included in your conditional offer. All results must be in English. This can either be in their original format, or, if providing translated versions/photocopies, they must be legally certified as accurate*.
Please provide these to the Undergraduate Admissions Office as soon as they are available. You must provide us with all of the results by the date specified in your offer.
* We are unable to accept emailed copies of your results or uncertified copies. A certified copy is a copy of an original document which has been translated, signed and stamped by an official person or body to prove that it is a true copy of the original document. An official person or body could be a teacher, school/educational establishment, an authorised agent or notary.
Confirmation of your offer
If you meet the conditions of your offer, as detailed on UCAS Track, you do not need to contact us to confirm your place. You can use UCAS Track to view the status of your application.

* A 'home' student is someone who meets certain UK residence criteria. This criteria also applies to eligibility for home funding from Student Finance.
