Professor Roshan das Nair was elected to Council in August 2021 as one of the Senate members.
Roshan is Professor of Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology in the School of Medicine. He has been with the University since 2003 in various roles (as an overseas PhD student, Senior Tutor at Florence Boot Hall, a Library Assistant at Hallward Library, and as an academic). He is a Research and Innovation Co-Lead at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and a Partner Governor at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Roshan completed his clinical psychology training at the National Institute for Mental Health and Neurosciences (India), and subsequently worked at the University of Zambia. He has also held appointments at La Trobe University (Australia) and SINTEF (Norway).
Roshan’s research focuses on developing and evaluating psychological treatments to help support people with multiple sclerosis, stroke, and traumatic brain injuries.
