Overview

This course will cover a logical approach to the assessment of patients with respiratory signs, localization of lesions, common causes and diagnostic approach. Case- based discussion of more common differentials and treatment approaches. A practical element including how to safely use the scopes in the airways and how to maximise diagnostic yield.

Learning objectives

At the end of this course, delegates should be able to:

  • Assess and localize the main area of concern in the respiratory tract
  • Discriminate between different differential diagnosis using history, physical observation/examination and results of diagnostics
  • Choose appropriate diagnostic tests
  • Practice basics of rhinoscopy/bronchoscopy
