Love You Forever, picture book by Robert Munsch
In this story, a young woman holds her newborn son and sings to him lovingly, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."  The story continues on through the entire life of this family.  This reading of the story is done by Robert Munsch himself, with some guitar picking in the background.  The book illustrations by Sheila McGraw are shown on screen.  (6:44)

"The Definition of Love" by Andrew Marvell (poetry reading)
"L'Amour et Psyche, enfants", by William Bouguereau (1825-1905) "Two Lovers", 1906, by Marcus Stone (1840-1921) Two Lovers 1906, MY Love is of a birth as rare As 'tis, for object, strange and high ; It was begotten by Despair, Upon Impossibility. Magnanimous Despair alone Could show me so divine a thing, Where feeble hope could ne'er have flown, But vainly flapped its tinsel wing. And yet I quickly might arrive Where my extended soul is fixed ; But Fate does iron wedges drive, And alwa

"my father moved through dooms of love" by E E Cummings (poetry reading)
Cummings wrote this poem after his father was killed when his car was hit by a train at a crossing in 1926. The picture is just an illustration for atmosphere, not connected with the incident or even from the right period in history. More info here: http://tinyurl.com/2vdmhoc It's hard to say why Cummings was so determined never to write any sentence, or clause even, that would parse. Perhaps it's the technical innovation that is the hallmark of genius. To pick just one phrase, "dooms o

"Sonnet 147 - My love is as a fever.." by William Shakespeare (poetry reading)
A frightening Halloween poem from Bill the Bard. It calls to mind a situation that is all-too real. It is perhaps the most frightening thing of all - the discovery that you have been deceived, that your beloved never loved you. While you were at work labouring to provide a good life for your loved ones, your wife was amusing herself with her back-door man: the local, handsome ne'e-do-well who never did an honest day's work in his life. Now you must continue to work hard to support them bot

Planting the seeds of success in the desert: Lipton's tea factory in Dubai
For many people, tea manufacturing conjures up images of tea pickers in Asia or Africa, with tea leaves being plucked at plantations and brought to a nearby factory for processing. Unilever's decision to build a tea factory in the desert of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates is therefore not what one would expect to see, especially as it involves a major multinational company.
