Love You Forever, picture book by Robert Munsch
In this story, a young woman holds her newborn son and sings to him lovingly, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be." The story continues on through the entire life of this family. This reading of the story is done by Robert Munsch himself, with some guitar picking in the background. The book illustrations by Sheila McGraw are shown on screen. (6:44)

Cummings wrote this poem after his father was killed when his car was hit by a train at a crossing in 1926. The picture is just an illustration for atmosphere, not connected with the incident or even from the right period in history. More info here:

It's hard to say why Cummings was so determined never to write any sentence, or clause even, that would parse. Perhaps it's the technical innovation that is the hallmark of genius.
