Introduction This course provides an introduction to data and processes in software, and provides a basis that enables these fundamental ideas to be developed in a clear and precise way. It has two main aims. The first is to illustrate how we can describe ways in which data may be structured and processed. The second is to introduce you to some vocabulary and concepts that help us to do this. The material is accessible to anyone with a little experience of the use of symbols in presenting ideas. Sec
Introduction In this unit we will see that, despite having a high natural abundance, iron is in very short supply because of the insolubility of its oxides and hydroxides. A result of this is that organisms have developed methods for the uptake, transport and storage of iron. For example, iron storage in mammals, including humans, is achieved by ferritin, which stores iron as a hydrated iron(III) oxide – an example of biomineralisation. This unit is from our archive and is an adapted extract from

Plan or review administration systems
Conducting ongoing review and assessment for new and existing operational
procedures, either in ValleyView or a real workplace. This unit is incorporated into one major task with one related
sub-task. Since the overarching project goal at ValleyView Publishing is to set up a
new branch office, the task of managing the office for a start-up period is
critical.
Plan and manage conferences
Plan future directions, either in ValleyView or a real workplace. This unit is incorporated into one major task with one related
sub-task. Since the overarching project goal at ValleyView Publishing is to set up a new

Develop an exercise program for an experienced client
In this
scenario the learner uses the results of screening tests to develop a fitness program for an
experienced client. As you start to plan a fitness program make sure you understand the
implications that the client's health and fitness status will have on the way the program is
developed. You will need to consider the person's cardiovascular fitness, any injuries or
other health factors when you develop their fitness program.
Poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) porous scaffold for tissue engineering. Enlargement of a Pore.
The patients own cells are seeded onto the scaffold and allowed to attach and start producing new bone. The construct is implanted into the defect site, where eventually the polymer will biodegrade and be completely removed, leaving a natural autogenous bone graft. This technique is particularly useful for large defects, or where the host bed is compromised due to disease, although it is still at the research stage. Average Pore Size 350-550 micrometre, porosity estimated at 35-45%.

The best part of drawing on a computer is that you rarely have to start over. Whether you've changed your mind about an angle or you drew a bunch of repeated objects too small (oops), Illustrator makes modifying your artwork very easy. Mordy Golding discusses how to use Illustrator's transform capabilities to manipulate any number of objects onscreen.
Ever wonder what's going on in your body when you have a cold? Join us as we explain the structure of viruses and the lytic and lysogenic cycles. We'll also discuss several types of viruses, including bacteriophage, HIV, and the nuclear polyhedrosis virus. Come laugh and learn with the zany Amoeba Sisters! (7:38)
