Susan Williams from GRCC's Social Sciences Department sits down with Michele Norris.
Michele Norris is currently a host and special correspondent for NPR. Norris served as co-host of NPR's news magazine All Things Considered. Norris relates how intended to write a book about America's hidden conversations about race but discovered much had been hidden from her by her family. Her parents kept the stories of racial injustice and pain to themselves because they wanted their children "to soar".

Medical Communication
In the Medical Communication class students practice methods and skills for effective medcal communication, which is one of the most important aspects of a healthy patient-doctor relationship. Through this class, students will:
- discuss the importance of communication in medical consultation and how to communicate effectively;
- learn proper skills for medical consultation;
- practice these skills through mock consultations.
