The American bullfrog is an invasive species in Oregon. Find out how the bullfrogs got here, where they came from, what we can do to control them. The University of Georgia Wind Ensemble presented the world premiere of "Declarations," a new composition for wind band, during the university's spring undergraduate Commencement on May 9. Beans are known worldwide as an inexpensive source of protein and other nutrients. Recently in Tanzania, though, much of that nutrition has been going to bugs rather than to people.
Tanzanian farmers have been losing nearly half of their bean harvest to the insects commonly known as weevils. And now, scientists are racing to develop beans that can resist the destructive pests.
