Requirements for Collaborative Design in Architecture
The concept of collaborative design has recently come under renewed attention in the field of computer aided architectural design support. Although collaborative design deals with the same aspects of cooperation by various participants in the design process as previously studiedin, for example, concurrent engineering and multi-disciplinary design, it nevertheless puts a different research emphasis. Collaborative design looks at how the process can be improved in such a way that collaboration ?wo

Medieval representations of sodomy - Dr Robert Mills (UCL)
While sodomy in Medieval Britain and Europe was seemingly regarded as unmentionable, artists developed strategies of depicting taboo practices. Dr Bob Mills (UCL History of Art) examines an era of art history that has hitherto been much neglected in studies of forbidden sexual practices and images of judgment and punishment. Introduction

In this unit, aimed at teachers of Physical Education, we begin by looking at some of the common misconceptions relating to fitness and activity levels together with accepted definitions of these concepts. We consider how active young people should actually be, and discuss how PE teachers can ensure they are making an effective contribution to this area of public health.

The Drop and Upward Throw of a Ball are Very Similar
Previously we determined the motion graphs for dropping a ball from 2.0 meters and throwing a ball up to 2.0 meters and catching it again.  In this video I show that the reverse of the drop coupled with the drop itself is the same thing as throwing the ball upward.  Make sense?  Okay, watch the video.

Content Times:

This view is now being challenged as many students are being actively encouraged to voice their views of the teaching and learning experience this paper shows

  • Regionalism has also been indirectly boosted by other EU policies, particularly the development of the Single European Market since the late 1980s

5.1 Introduction

The island of Madagascar is relatively small compared to the enormous landmasses of Africa, Asia and South America inhabited by the primates I've mentioned up to now. Yet of the 250 or so living primate species, more than 30 species of lemur live in Madagascar - an astonishingly high 13 per cent or so of all primate species. Their diversity is reflected in the identification of no fewer than five families, related in the way suggested in Author(s): The Open University
