Tangent Ratios
This video explains how tangent ratios, along with cosine and sine ratios, are ratios of two different sides of a right triangle. Tangent ratios are the ratio of the side opposite to the side adjacent the angle they represent. In order to find the measure of the angle itself, one must understand inverse trigonometric functions. Space Diagonal
The Pythagorean theorem is useful when we need to find the length of a space diagonal in a rectangular prism. This video describes how the space diagonal passes through the space between vertices, instead of the bases or lateral faces. In other words, it is the diagonal that joins two opposing vertices in the prism, or the two vertices that don't share a face with each other. (1:48)

Exterior Angles of a Polygon
This video explains how, in a polygon, an exterior angle is formed by a side and an extension of an adjacent side. Exterior angles of a polygon have several unique properties. The sum of exterior angles in a polygon is always equal to 360 degrees. Therefore, for all equiangular polygons, the measure of one exterior angle is equal to 360 divided by the number of sides in the polygon. (3:39)

Kite Properties
This video describes the properties of a kite. Knowing the properties of a kite will help when solving problems with missing sides and angles. Kite properties include (1) two pairs of consecutive, congruent sides, (2) congruent non-vertex angles and (3) perpendicular diagonals. Other important polygon properties to be familiar with include trapezoid properties, parallelogram properties, rhombus properties, and rectangle and square properties. (1:59)

Problem Solving: Logic Number Puzzles
These logic number puzzles help students develop strong number sense as they work, clue by clue, to identify the digits of the missing number. The mixed-skills clues incorporate even-odd, less than-greater than, operations (sum, difference), multiples of 5 and 10, geometric terms (octagaon, pentagon, hexagon, quadrilateral, trapezoid, parallelogram), money (quarters, nickels) and measurement (cup, pint, quart, gallon). Students must squeeze every bit of knowledge from each clue to eliminate poss
