1 Overview Even in images taken with the most modern equipment on a large telescope, it can be difficult to pick out the galaxies now known as 'active' from the other more normal galaxies. But if your telescope were equipped to examine the spectra of the galaxies, then the active galaxies would stand out. Normal galaxies contain stars that are generally similar to those in our own Galaxy; and spiral galaxies have additional similarities to the Milky Way in their gas and dust content. Active galax

Protestant Reformation
This video describes the causes of the Protestant Reformation. backround knowledge is explained in regards to key individuals involved as well.
Work
A circus strongman and a clown help present the physics definition of work. Concept: Work = force x distance. Eureka was a series of short cartoons on physics that ran on public television in the 1980's. The video explains the concept in simple and well illustrated way. Good for students of any elementary school level.

Warren Burger
This excellent video is accompanied by text and is suitable for high school students. "Warren Burger served as chief justice of the Supreme Court from 1969 to 1986. The Burger Court, not known for activism, was at the center of two highly controversial cases in the 1970s that had a huge impact on the nation: Roe v. Wade and Regents of University of California v. Bakke."
4.2 Levels of explanation The distinction between the natural and the social is not the only significant one. Even the social orientation in constructions of social problems is complicated by different sorts of emphasis. The growth of social science since the late nineteenth century has ensured that a variety of competing theories, disciplines and perspectives are available to us in our attempt to make sense of social problems. Such theories have made their way into the realm of everyday or common-sense constructions
Acceleration Lab Experiment
In this slow motion video for IPS Schools by Clayborn a ball is released on an inclined plane and accelerates due to the force of gravity. At the bottom of the first inclined plane to the beginning of the second inclined plane the ball stops its positive acceleration by nearly maintaining its horizontal speed. On the second ramp the ball accelerates backwards down the slope, or loses speed to a point where it momentarily comes to rest. Therefore this video demonstrates POSITIVE ACCELERATION, ZER
2.2.1 Normal galaxies Normal galaxies are made up of stars and (in the case of spiral and irregular galaxies) gas and dust. Their spectra consist of the sum of the spectra of these components. The optical spectra of normal stars are continuous spectra overlaid by absorption lines (Figure 1). There are two factors to consider

4 Charakterstücke, op.3 for clarinet and piano UCT has typeset the clarinet part, since IMSLP has only the piano part and the viola part. However, the title list SEM image of open cell polyurethane foam Recognizing Numbers - 1-20 2.3.1 Burner reactors The object of a burner reactor is to use up or 'burn' as much uranium-235 as possible. For some reactor designs the uranium-235 content of natural uranium is increased chemically to produce enriched uranium, which contains up to 3% uranium-235 (compared with the naturally occurring 0.7%). The chain reactions in Author(s):
If a gas is injected into a liquid it forms a cellular foam structure. When a thermoset prepolymer of low viscosity is foamed, the polymer can drain from the cell walls (driven by surface tension) before it sets at the cell edges, leaving an open-celled foam. The cell edges have three concave sides, giving rise to the tri-cuspid cross section visible at the bottom of this image. The average co-ordination number for the nodes (where struts meet) is four, giving tetrahedral junctions.
A cool way to learn the numbers 1-20. Colorful and well-narrated. The narrator calls out each of the numbers then encourages the user to "find" a number. (02:59)
