After launching earlier in the day in their Soyuz TMA-13M spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, Expedition 40/41 Soyuz Commander Max Suraev of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos), NASA Flight Engineer Reid Wiseman and Flight Engineer Alexander Gerst of the European Space Agency were greeted aboard the International Space Station by station Commander Steve Swanson of NASA and Flight Engineers Alexander Skvortsov and Oleg Artemyev of Roscosmos.

Professor Brian Schmidt - Nobel Prize for Physics Press Conference
The Australian National University is celebrating the awarding of the Nobel Prize for Physics to Professor Brian Schmidt.
Announced in Stockholm, Sweden overnight, the award is shared with two US scientists – Professor Adam Riess from Johns Hopkins University and Professor Saul Perlmutter from the University of California, Berkeley.
