Companies whose internet offerings can be described by this business model provide sites which enable companies to collaborate with each other, usually when the companies are spread over large distances. For example, a company which runs a collaboration platform might provide facilities for companies who wish to come together in order to tender for a complex project in a particular market sector such as aerospace.

5.4.3 How to evaluate accessibility

Accessibility guidelines and checklists can be used to evaluate a design or prototype. Despite the difficulties associated with the use of guidelines, they can be a useful tool for getting general insight into the accessibility of a website or system. As we discussed earlier, the main limitation of the use of guidelines or checklists is the fact that background knowledge of disability and assistive technology is required in order to effectively interpret and apply such guidelines.

6.3.2 Crystal

Almost all modern gamma cameras use (thallium-doped) sodium iodide (NaI) as the scintillation crystal. A gamma photon interacts with the crystal to produce many photons of visible light.

Sodium iodide is hygroscopic so cannot be left exposed to the air. The front surface is coated with a low atomic number metal that allows the gamma photons to pass through. The rear surface is covered with a transparent coating so that the visible photons can pass through to the photomultiplier tubes.

3.7 Europe

Two very different European sources of law have had an impact on our legal system since the middle of the twentieth century. In this sense, they are one of our most recent sources of law. These two sources are first, the organisation of member states referred to as the European Union (EU), and second, the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). They are distinct sources of law. They each act as a source of law in different ways.

Membership of the EU is by application.
