We Sign Animals: A Song About Animals in Sign Language
In this video, an instructor demonstrates using sign language to sign a song about a parade of animals.  She then performs the song with sign language as she sings along. The animals in the song are a rooster, horse, cow, goat, pig, and mouse.  (While the song is appropriate for young children, anyone learning sign language could benefit from this video.)  (02:25)

What's Flu Got To Do With It? The payoff of influenza studies for medical demography. We review some of the major features of influenza mortality in the United States, 1959-2007, the period in which the most detailed data are available. Focus is on two areas, first, classification robustness across influenza and pneumonia over time. Second, we estimate 2-parameter Gompetrz models of winter pneumonia and influenza (P+I) mortality. We find that Gompertz is a good parameterization of P+I mortality

We come now to our final refinement to the simple picture in Figure 7. Recall that the troposphere is heated from below, with temperature then falling with increasing altitude. This situation sets the scene for the onset of convection - the bulk flow or circulation of a fluid driven by differences in temperature. Convection in the atmosphere plays a vital role in two further mechanisms - quite apart from the emission of longwave radiation - whereby energy is transferred from the Earth'
