Beyond the math visualization - Geometrica and Stochastica
Mathematically controlled imaging process provides attractive results because of its infinite scaling capabilities with some other elements that contribute to the visualization. Its global/local and precise manipulation of parameters holds potential for realizing an unpredictable horizon of imagery. When it meets the artist's taste, this method could be a strong enough system of creation, and I have been producing images using the surfaces of hyperbolic paraboloid. On the other hand, a method ab
Helium
A four minute lecture that explains what helium is and how it reacts. Many great points are made and this is a very good overview for the study of this element.
As Many Exceptions As Rules
As Many Exceptions As Rules tells the stories of organisms that break nature's "rules" in order to survive and thrive. Evolution provides strategies common to descendents, but some organisms just have to go their own way. Each story includes classroom activities or links to more information, questions for discussion and terminology with its derivation. The resource is designed to increase student engagement and educator content knowledge.
Retirement video for the Philco 212 Mainframe Computer
December 1981
This video documents the final day of operation for the last-known functioning Philco 2000 Model 212 computer at Ford Aerospace & Communications Corporation’s Dearborn, Michigan, headquarters. The Philco 212 was one of the earliest commercial transistorized computers, first delivered in 1962. Ford had purchased Philco the year before.
Recorded in December 1981, this recording begins with a welcome from the computer itself: scrolling across the lamps of it’s operator console p
Create a Stem Cell Line
This is an animation that requires students to make decisions at their own pace. Great vocabulary help. Students would benefit from a word wall or a handout to help with this as well as take good notes. A very good tool for teaching about stem cells.

Since discussion is so central to the growth and development of a
literary community, this program also concentrates on this activity. The teachers talk about ways to recognize good discussion, adding personal anecdotes about ways in which they participate in or step out at various points in the discussion to help students go further in their
understandings of the text. The group also looks at different stimuli
they use to provoke and maintain good discussions in their class

CCA's 2014 commencement ceremony took place Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the SF Concourse Exhibition Center, a former railway station, located at 620 7th Street (between Brannan and Townsend streets).
2014 Honorary Doctorate
CCA conferred upon Holland Cotter, Pulitzer Prize-winning art critic at the New York Times, an honorary doctorate degree at commencement.
CCA President Stephen Beal: "Holland Cotter is one of the foremost art critics writing today. He's a man of extraordinary inte
Using X-ray equipment that allowed them to watch the animals move through a bed of dry sand, Georgia Tech researchers have studied how the shovel-nosed snake and sandfish lizard use their unique body plans to swim through sand. Information provided by the research could help explain how evolutionary pressures have affected body shape in sand-dwelling animals. (Credit: Jason Maderer).

Interactive simulation, density, mass, and volume calculator
The instructor uses an electronic chalkboard to demonstrate how to find the slope of a linear equation when given the line of that equation. One example is modeled showing how to choose two points and determine the rise over the run.
As part of a submission for the IMS Global Award, this film discusses the outputs of the ALPS CETL and demonstrates the impact that they have had on learning and assessment in practice settings, particularly focussing on the development of competency maps, 360degree multiprofessional asessment tools and the use of mobile technology to deliver these innovative assessment processes to the Health and Social Care students on placement.
