Animation through atrium
This animation explores the atrium of Northeastern University's planned state-of-the-art interdisciplinary science and engineering research complex, to be located in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood on Columbus Avenue. Scheduled for completion in fall 2016, the facility will provide 220,000 square feet of research and educational space.
This animation was produced by the Architecture firm Payette.

Curving photos for a print look
This very easy-to-follow tutorial walks you through adding a thin white border and a paper-like curve and drop shadow to your digital photo for a very realistic effect.
8.1.2 Feedback A second important principle is providing feedback to the user – for example, when you press a button it moves and clicks, or you hear some other sound or you see a light to indicate the action has been registered by the machine. Here's another short video clip from Phillip Joe at IDEO, this time on feedback. Job search 2.2 Using A. tumefaciens to genetically modify plant cells Genetic engineers have capitalised on the fact that part of the DNA from the Ti plasmid of A. tumefaciens is integrated into the plant genome during the infection process. Ti plasmids can be isolated and a foreign gene spliced in at an appropriate point, making it possible to transfer the novel gene into the plant. Embedding enterprise in the curriculum 3.4 Environmental effects of reservoir construction Reservoirs may totally alter the water resources of a country. Before the Aswan Dam was completed in Egypt, more than half of the 8 × 1010 m3 of water that flowed down the River Nile through Egypt each year ran into the sea. Most of the water can now be used in Egypt, mainly for irrigation, and instead of a single annual crop grown after seasonal flooding, more than one crop can be grown each year. However, advantages such as these must be considered in conjunction with 4.4 Reducing nutrient availability Once nutrients are in an ecosystem, it is usually much harder and more expensive to remove them than tackle the eutrophication at source. The main methods available are: precipitation (e.g. treatment with a solution of aluminium or ferrous salt to precipitate phosphates); removal of nutrient-enriched sediments, for example by mud pumping; and removal of biomass (e.g. harvesting of common reed) and using it for thatching or [ROYAL: Illuminated manuscripts of the Kings and Queens of England]

Skip a few days of shampooing and human hair can get oily. The link between hair and oil have lead groomers to save hair for what essentially may be giant oil absorbers. But hair get be hard to get in high volumes quickly. So four alpacas at an Alabama zoo are "donating" fleece to a group making hair-filled booms designed to keep spilled oil away from U.S. Gulf Coast shores. Run time 03:21.
Welcome to this Futures workbook on finding work. It is split into several sections describing different techniques for finding work. You can dip in and out of the different sections; however it is not wise to rely on only one mechanism for finding work. It is a competitive market for final year students and new graduates and so you should try many alternate ways to find work.

This Web page reports on an AHRC-funded project centred around research into the British Library's collection of 1,950 manuscripts donated by King George II in 1757. Maintained as a collection (labelled 'ROYAL') since this time, they represent the largest surviving collection of medieval illumination and painting owned by English monarchs. The grant will enable the first ever major research project into the collection, resulting in an exhibition in 2011, as well as being added to the Library's o
