A documentary about Hollywood, the big studios and the the start of Hollywood is the theme of the eight minute video. The founders are mentioned and the six studios run by Jewish immigrants who took the risk to start this dream. The footage is dated and so some of the material will not be understood by some students. This is a good video to for both history and businesses reasons.

Probability offers one of those rare intersections where classroom mathematics crosses middle school experience. The problem scenarios investigated at this level often start with a game—as did theoretical probability itself. Students find that many of the phenomena they encounter in game playing have predictable outcomes.
