Tornado Relief in Gibson County, Indiana, Unloading Sears-Roebuck Goods, 1925
The Tri-State Tornado of March 18, 1925 that roared from Missouri to Indiana destroyed half the town of Princeton. It was the deadliest tornado in U.S. history, killing 695. Its 219-mile path was the world’s longest by a tornado ever recorded.
