Offshore Wind Farm Design
This course makes students familiar with the design of offshore wind farms in general and focusses on the foundation design in particular. The course is based on actual cases of real offshore wind farms that have been built recently or will be built in the near future.
Force and Strategy
This course examines the political, economic,military, and ethical factors affecting the use and utility of military force in international relations. Students will study the political and decision-making process by which nations decide to use military force as well as the major arms control agreements of the post-World War II period, including negotiations currently under way.

Power, Work and the Waterwheel
Waterwheels are devices that generate power and do work. Students construct a waterwheel using two-liter bottles, dowel rods and index cards, and calculate the power created and work done by them.

They learn that the concept of work, force acting over a distance, differs from power, which is defined as force acting over a distance over some period of time.
