A mathematical muse

This unit explores reasons for studying mathematics, practical applications of mathematical ideas and aims to help you to recognise mathematics when you come across it. It introduces the you to the graphics calculator, and takes you through a series of exercises from the Calculator Book, Tapping into Mathematics With the TI-83 Graphics Calculator. The unit ends by asking you to reflect on the process of studying mathematics. In order to complete this unit you will need to have obtained a Texas I

At the end of this unit you should be able to:

explain the key components of project closure and their importance;

plan an effective project closure;

ensure that the project activities have been completed;

be alert to problems that may need to be resolved at the closure stage;

contribute to evaluating a project;

plan personal development to improve your performance in managing projects.

In this unit, we explore some aspects of bringing a complex project to completion. There are a number of things to consider in the final stages of a project. It is very important to ensure that the goals of the project have been achieved, and that all the outcomes and deliverables have been handed over to the sponsor (or that any discrepancies have been addressed). Handover can involve different types of presentation for different types of outcome. There may be a physical object to handover,

Computer Science

Students are going to understand the structure of computer we use in our everyday life and study the relation between logic circuit, C Language and software.

Information Processing Basics

A student can learn the organization and principle of a computer and make the use of the computer as a research method for analyzing and processing measurement results, and simulating some physical phenomena.

Compiler

We present an overview of language processing systems such as compilers and interpreters, which are basic software systems in many computer systems. We then explain details of compiler components such as lexical analysis, syntax analysis, and code generation. For syntax analysis, we introduce techniques such as recursive descent parsing and LR parsing. We also cover tools for compiler generation such as lex and yacc.
