Bouyancy - Why Do Things Float
The video demonstrates a simple rule of buoyancy. Objects float if they have a density less than the liquid into which they are submerged. Diet sodas have low densities since they contain no sugar. Furthermore, the buoyant force on an object submerged in a liquid is equal to the weight of the liquid displaced. Instructor must register for Teacher Tube in order to download video.
