Science Bulletins: Rosetta Mission Lands Probe on Comet
On November 12, 2014, more than a decade after launching, the European Space Agency’s Rosetta mission was positioned to send a probe to the surface of 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko, a small comet orbiting the Sun at a distance of hundreds of millions of kilometers. After a tense 7-hour descent (and a 30-minute transmission delay), mission control confirmed that the Philae probe had reached the comet’s surface.
But Philae could not anchor itself; its harpoons failed to deploy. It ‘bouncedâ€

4.1 Types of projects Formal projects are a familiar part of nearly all work situations and are often a staple part of some organisations. Because of this it is worth looking at some of the features of formal projects and their management, as they have some different characteristics from other ongoing activities. To write about projects, we have to define what they are and describe how they arise. Projects and project work are often contrasted with process: 'process', in this sense, describes the normal day-

4.351 Introduction to Video (MIT)
This class serves as an introduction to video recording and editing, presenting video as a tool of personal apprehension and expression, with an emphasis on self-exploration, performance, social critique, and the organization of raw experience into aesthetic form (narrative, abstract, documentary, essay). Students are required to complete a variety of assignments to learn the basics of video capture and editing, culminating in a final assignment that has to do with personal storytelling.
2.7 Commercial polymers The increasing control of polymer structure by fine-tuned catalysis of polymerization opened up an enormous area for commercial exploitation, and new polymers are still being produced in this way (such as the metallocene polymers). A revolution of equal magnitude has occurred with polymers containing functional groups, for example, the nylons, polyesters and polyurethanes, resulting in polymers ranging from quite simple structures like aramid fibre to relatively complex repeat units like thos

11.2 Frequency discrimination Some findings indicate that, for moderate loudness levels, humans can detect a frequency change of about 1 to 3 Hz for frequencies up to about 1000 Hz. Figure 37 shows a plot of the smallest frequency difference for which two tones can be discriminated for a number of reference tones. You can see from the figure that up to about 1000 Hz, the D
