Vector Calculus - What is Green's Theorem?
This lecture, by Dr. Chris Tisdell, discusses Green's theorem in the plane. Green's theorem not only gives a relationship between double integrals and line integrals, but it also gives a relationship between "curl" and "circulation".

In addition, Gauss' divergence theorem in the plane is also discussed, which gives the relationship between divergence and flux.

Plenty of examples are presented.

Exploring Borderland-Unit 2
Chicana writer Gloria Anzaldúa tells us that the border is "una herida

Contested Territories Unit 7
The United States acquired vast territories between the time of the

expansion, the settlers moving into these regions, and the impact on the Native Americans already there. (This unit includes a facilitator
guide, video, and online text chapter.)

Digitizing Heritage or reconstructing Imagination [Digitalizando la herencia o reconstruyendo la ima
To advance the theme of digital conservation of heritage and tie it to museums, we report on two case studies of digitising archaeological sites; the first is the remains of a typical Scottish Crannog typical of the sixth-century BC., and the second is a UNESCO protected site in the Middle East (the desert castle of Qusayr Amra, Jordan), which dates back to early 8th century. Then we relate both to our investigation into embodiment, interaction and metaphor in virtual environments.

Redirecting Fleet Street 4: What Should Press Regulation Regulate?
Baroness Onora O'Neill, Crossbench member of the House of Lords and Emeritus Professor of Philosophy, University of Cambridge, gives a talk for the Redirecting Fleet Street: Media Regulation and the Role of Law conference. Classical arguments about speech rights divide between those that focus on speech content and those that focus on speech acts. By and large certain arguments against regulation of speech content have been judged convincing, but arguments about regulation of speech acts remain

2.2.1 Normal galaxies

Normal galaxies are made up of stars and (in the case of spiral and irregular galaxies) gas and dust. Their spectra consist of the sum of the spectra of these components.

The optical spectra of normal stars are continuous spectra overlaid by absorption lines (Figure 1). There are two factors to consider

2 2 Note taking from an audio visual text

The first important point to make is that note taking is more than a process of summarising everything that you see; it must be an active process of engaging with the material and thinking it through for yourself. In the videos, the multidimensional nature of the visual images and the stories they convey means that you will not be able to take in everything on first viewing. The videos allow us to present visual as well as audio information and in a form that makes it easier for you to revisi

2.3 Other influences on market demand

What about other variables which may affect demand? Let us consider four such variables. As is often the case in economics, the first two points involve understanding some rather formal relationships between variables, in this case price and income.

  1. The price of other goods. Two goods x and y are known as substitutes if the quantity demanded of good x increases after a rise in the price of good y. The
