1916 - Berlin Olympics
In 1916, the Olympics were planned to be taking place in Berlin. The Olympic Committee continued the organization despite the start of WWI. As the war went on the games eventually were cancelled. In 1931 Berlin won the bid to host them and in 1936 they finally hosted them.  Â
