Anthropology of conservation (Vidéo) Richard Dumez defines the anthropology of conservation, "crisis discipline" from the confluence of conservation biology, ethnoecology and nature anthropology. The Shoemaker and The Elves There was once a shoemaker, who worked very hard and was very honest, but he could not earn enough to make a living. All he had in the world was gone, just leather enough to make one pair of shoes. He cut out his leather, all ready to make up the next day. In the morning he sat himself down to his work, but there stood the shoes all ready-made. The man did not know what to say or think. &n Learn French - Les Verbes, Part 2 3.1 What makes a nation, a state or a nation-state? Why do England, Scotland and Wales take part in the Six Nations rugby championship alongside Italy, Ireland and France? Are they all ‘nations’? What do we mean by calling them ‘nations’? The nation has become one of the most contested concepts of our times. Scholars, politicians and political activists present different definitions of the nation, usually focusing on a variety of cultural, political, psychological, territorial, ethnic and sociological principles. He gave considerable attention to the position of married women: The great majority of married women must be regarded as occupied on work which is vital though unpaid, without which their husbands could not do their paid work and witho Trusted Computing Rants, Regrets and Research Keep on learning   There are more than 800 courses on OpenLearn for you to c 1.5 Key dissertation ingredients A number of ingredients are essential for a satisfactory dissertation: a thesis, i.e. one coherent overriding ‘story’ or argument situation in existing knowledge, i.e. a critical review of prior research which motivates and justifies the research question contribution of something new appropriate voice and argument, i.e. the provision of clear and explicit evidence, substantiation, and chain of in Duchess of Malfi: Deconstructing the play References 11.942 Regional Energy-Environmental Economic Modeling (MIT) ResponseWare slides Atomic Bombs A Procedural Model for Integrating Physical and Cyberspaces in Architecture

Does the Duchess of Malfi have any resonance with modern-day audiences? Are it’s themes of politics and revenge still relevant today? Since it was originally published in the seventeenth century the play has been interpreted in a variety of ways, each different director examining the story and realising a unique translation of the work. In 2010 the Greenwich Theatre performed The Duchess of Malfi and in this collection we follow the cast and crew as they analyse the language used by John Webs

Where feasible, the topics will

This dissertation articulates opportunities offered by architectural computation, in particular the digital simulation of space known as virtual reality (VR) and its networked, social variant cyberspace. Research suggests that environments that hybridize technologies call for a conception of space as information, i.e. space is both a product of and tool for cognition. The thesis proposes a model whereby architecture can employ this concept of space in creating hybrids that integrate physical a
