Picture Book Maker is a great site that lets you use animal characters, backgrounds, and some props to create a story that can be printed or shared via Email. This is a great tool for students in Elementary school. A great idea may be to have the student create a story using five vocabulary words or using the site to create an alternate ending to a story read in class. This is a great resource to help enhance technology instruction and use in the classroom. (5:41)

This song by Fats Domino was recorded in 1960 and was a big hit. This makes a fun compliment to studying about Ruby Bridges because it features New Orleans where she lived and went to school. It was on the airwaves the same year that she made history by being the first African America student to attend a white school. (01:54)
