GEEMA Taster Day, 31 March 2010
On 31 March 2010 over 400 Year 12 students and their parents attended a taster day for state school students from ethnic minority backgrounds.
The day included a general introduction to the University, subject sessions led by Admissions Tutors (arts/humanities or sciences) and talks on interviews and life at Cambridge.

Professor Elaine Scarry (English, Harvard), 'Beauty and Social Justice'. Professor Scarry was delivering the first of two keynote addresses to the conference 'Pain in Performance and 'Moving Beauty' (21-22 May, 2010). A new study on vitamin D levels and Parkinson's disease risk points to the need for further research on whether vitamin D supplements can protect against the movement disorder, according to an editorial in the July 2010 issue of Archives of Neurology.
