Allow for material thickness when making a template
When pressing or rolling shapes you must allow for the thickness of the material. When you bend or press a piece of material, the outside will stretch and the inside will contract. There will be a difference between the inside and outside measurements. When using a brake press to press or bend any material in a vee block, you must take the inside radius into account.
