Research Symposium New Ideas in Order Fulfilment
September 17, 2008 at Nottingham University, UK
Responsiveness is a key driver for all players in today’s supply chains — manufacturers, retailers, intermediaries and logistics partners.
The traditional ‘textbook’ models for planning and order fulfilment need to be augmented by more flexible forms of response.
Leading international researchers presented and discussed new ideas in order fulfilment in different sectors:
» Build and Make-to-Order
» Flexible planning and reconfiguration
» Open pipeline planning
» Revenue management in production and order fulfilment
» Integrated forecasting and planning
» Supply chain and logistics strategies
