Funding for Postgraduate Study

Postgraduate students are responsible for arranging their own funding to cover fees and living expenses. This can often be frustrating and time-consuming, but funding is available - the key is to apply early for your course, giving yourself the maximum amount of time to track down funding.

For further information about funding opportunities for overseas students, please see the International Office country-specific web pages to start your search. There are often forms available for download or on line application, complete with guidelines on the application process, requirements and the deadline for receipt of applications. If you are unable to access information on the web, the School can post details, but please be aware that this will take time and online application is the preferred and easiest method. Please note that final scholarship decisions are not made by the School of Geography. Sucessful candidates will be informed by the International Office.

For further information for UK/EU students, there is a course-specific funding page or the University's Postgraduate funding web page.

The School of Geography offers postgraduate studentships each year - current information on studentships when available will be posted on this website.
