Welcome to the Centre for Enterprise Systems Research (CESR) located at Nottingham University Business School, Jubilee Campus. The Centre is established to foster, engage and exchange research and practice related to the broad area of Enterprise Systems (ES).

Enterprise System refers to integrative technologies, practices and solutions that are developed and implemented with the objective of managing information and knowledge across organisational boundaries.

A growing number of organisations, both in the private and public sectors, has attempted to implement or is considering starting an ES initiative. Due to the fact that the adoption of ES is often costly, time-consuming and risky, to enhance our understanding of its complexity is clearly needed. To address such a need, five distinctive yet interrelated research themes that are outlined as follows:
