Authors & Contributors
RILM-UK welcomes submissions of bibliographic citations and abstracts for all musicological work published in the United Kingdom. A lot of material is already captured in-house, either here or at RILM International Center.
Abstracts NOT needed for:
- Monographs published by Ashgate, Boydell, Faber, Phaidon (we take details directly from the publishers)
- Articles in major periodicals that already include authors’ abstracts (e.g., Music & Letters, Journal of the Royal Musical Association, Cambridge Opera Journal, Music Analysis, Plainsong, Early Music, Popular Music, Psychology of Music, etc.)
We DO need abstracts for:
- Monographs from smaller UK publishers
- Chapters in edited collections for all UK publishers
- Articles in journals that do not include authors’ abstracts (e.g., Early Music History, Tempo, Musical Times, Galpin Society, etc.)
- Articles in smaller music periodicals
- Articles about music in non-musicological journals
- UK dissertations on music (dissertations must have been completed and accepted by the time of submission to RILM)
