Dr Vassilis Vavoulis

Vassilis Vavoulis (BMus, BA, MMus, DPhil) is the UK co-ordinator for the RILM international project of music scholarship and bibliography, based at Nottingham. His research interests lie in 17th-century Venetian opera, baroque performance practice, rhetoric and opera poetics, and the management of Humanities bibliography. He has taught musicology and early music at Nottingham University, Oxford University, Trinity College, Dublin, and as a bibliographer has worked for the major projects Oxford Dictionary of National Biography and Oxford English Dictionary. He has published with the journals Notes, the RMA Research Chronicle, Music & Letters, Early Music, Eighteenth-Century Current Bibliography and with the publishers A-R Editions and Berliner-Wissenschafts Verlag.
