Back in 2000, the OTiS (Online Tutoring Skills) project held a workshop, out of which came a series of e-learning case studies and the immensely useful Online Tutoring e-Book, and case studies in e-learning. The E-Book is a generic yet practical guide to e-learning practice, backed up by a ton of academic references, and is an ideal introduction to e-learning pedagogy and practice. Sadly the hosting project, Scotcit, has gone into that deep dark night of defunct fixed-term projects, and the original website is only available from the Internet Archive. However, the E-book itself has been copied to the SONET site, and is available from the link above.
