Dr Jamie Tratalos

Dr Jamie TratalosJamie joined the Centre for Environmental Management in November 2012 after 11 years in a variety of research posts. He is working on Work Packages 4 (Cultural Services) and 6 (Scenarios) of the UK National Ecosystems Assessment. He will be involved primarily in spatial modelling and project management. He has a BA in Classics from Oxford University, a diploma in Environmental Economics, an MRes in Ecology and Environmental Management from the University of York, and a PhD in Ecology from the University of Greenwich. He subsequently worked as a Geographic Information analyst in Local Government, before embarking on GIS-related post-doctoral positions at the University of East Anglia (visitor impacts on wading bird populations) and Sheffield (urban ecology). After periods working as a consultant for the United Nations and a spatial data analyst for the British Antarctic Survey, he spent 4 years as a Research Consultant for Dr Foster, a health care informatics consultancy.
