Conferences

Social programme

On Thursday and Friday (28 & 29 August) we will have a joint evening meal (a buffet reception and the conference dinner, respectively) that are included in all the conference packages, including accompanying persons.

On Friday 29 August there will be a trip to local historic sites with a knowledgeable guide. Exact programme will depend on numbers. This trip is for guests accompanying delegates, who are not themselves attending the conference.

After the close of conference, on the afternoon of Saturday 30 August there will be an optional trip to visit Sherwood Forest. The trip will take in the Major Oak (Robin Hood’s famous hideout) and Southwell Minster, which is a beautiful Gothic cathedral built in the 13th century. In the evening we’ll have a hog and lamb roast with traditional English music and other jollities.
