23 postgraduate students from the Department of Architecture and Built Environment are working with the Broxtowe community on the neighbourhood plan for the local area at HS2 in Toton.
The Department of Architecture and Built Environment is working in partnership with Chetwynd: The Toton and Chilwell Neighbourhood Forum.
The forum will give residents an opportunity to express their views and future aspirations for the area around the HS2 and Chetwynd Barracks sites in Toton. It has been set up to promote, protect and improve the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the area. The students are working with the community to help the residents inform the debate for plans for the area. They are looking at what the development means for the future of the area and how the neighbourhood can be designed to meet the needs and aspirations of those who live there and can determine the potential for economic growth.
The forum will take place on Monday 30 October, 10am-5pm in Tesco Extra, Swiney Way, Toton, Beeston, Nottingham NG9 6QX.
