Grace Belchin, a graduate from the School of Education, has been awarded the UK Literacy Association Student Research Award 2017. Grace completed the MA Creativity, Literacies and Learning last year whilst working full-time in one of the University's partnership schools.
This annual award is given for an outstanding student dissertation at undergraduate, postgraduate or higher degree level undertaken at a UK institution. Committee members were impressed with Grace's thesis in terms of originality, relevance to practice and high level of scholarship.
Grace was presented with her award, and later presented her work at the conference the following day, at the UKLA International Conference in Glasgow earlier this month.
